No Bodies
This tutorial shows you the process of removing the bodies of people, but keeping their clothes so it looks like ghosts are inside |
Step 1
Start off by opening your image, ours was from the image search in google. Make sure the patterns on the clothes are easy to work with, as this will could be a problem later on - Also, ensure that the background is not too complexed.
Step 2
Duplicate the layer, then hide the top one. Now, using your clone tool **- Keyboard shortcut S -** choose a soft brush, and begin to brush all of the things you could be editing. This takes allot of time and patience. Start off by defining your point, holding ALT and Left mouse clicking on a point. Then, move your mouse, and click on the place on your image where you want it to appear.. you'll get the hang of it
Step 3
Show the top layer, and give it a new layer mask **- Layer > Add Layer Mask > Reveal Add -**
With a paint brush, zoom in to the flesh-y points, with black as your foreground colour, begin to brush away and hide all of the flesh that you can see.
You will notice, that the cloning procedure that we did before has worked, and you shouldn't have any troubles.
Step 4
Under your masking layer, with a lasso tool, create a bass colour for the right hand persons neck. This only needs to be very rough
Step 5
Now, with your colour picker, choose a dark colour that you know is going to be good for shadows. I chose a dark purple. Then, with a soft brush on a new layer, i slowly painted a shadow on the right hand guys collar.
Step 6
Ok, now.. create a new layer and fill the areas around the collar black. Then add nose **- Filter > Noise -** set the blending options to lighten, and the opacity to about 20
Step 7
Again, the same effect... create a new layer, and replace (with a paintbrush) the part where his arm should have gone. Now, with your colour chooser, get a similar grey to what is on his clothing. And give him a nice little shadow - continuing it from the bottom, to where it should go at the top
Step 8
Again, pick the colours from the photo and add them to the place where the arm should be. Both highlights and shadows
Step 9
This last bit was a little tricky, it has a few different colours. But, as long as you choose the colours from the photograph, use a 1px brush, zoom in pleanty and take your time - You'll be fine!
Step 10
Ok, now you can add where his HAND was going to go. This is with your paintbrush and again, either the burn tool or the paintbrush with a darker colour.
Step 11
Just continue with all of these methods, and youll be fine! There really is no problem with this! Just done be afraid to add 'noise' to the image, as it will give it more a textured effect. And don't just keep your painting greyscale, add colours to the shadows and highlights too!
